Per a discussion with my brother last night over dinner at Chili’s, he apparently cannot find information on the internet unless it’s linked from my blog. With that in mind, here are a few links to essays on Apple’s position in the computing world, culled from various places on the web. Read in this order:
- Magic 8-Ball Answers Your Questions Regarding RealNetworks’ Harmony
- Convergence Kills
- Convergence Kills (Redux)
- The Art of the Parlay
- Why 2004 Won’t Be Like 1984
Also noteworthy is the fact that when your laptop shrinks by two inches, it suddenly becomes a lot more portable. I don’t really spend much time at my desk anymore, and wherever I go, I find myself taking my laptop just in case I need it.
UPDATE: MacBlog has a nice little article about a new website that Real has launched. The article does a fabulous job of pointing out just how much of a failure that website is.
