People have been complaining to me, saying things like, “You never update your website.” Unfortunately, I can neither confirm nor deny the validity or truth of such statements.
So here’s the problem with being high will + high skill: you get more work. When I first started here they gave a nice, tame project where I was sequestered away by myself, working contently and not interacting with anyone. When I gave my boss a status update and he saw what I had done, I was immediately burdened with another project, this time one which actually had impact. Now that I’ve pretty much completed my first project, it’s all about the second one and it’s getting heavier. I’m pretty much the guy implementing the user interface for our product. Given that we expect a user base of three millions… that’s a lot of pressure. Especially with the deadline moved up by a week and the user interface design committee wanting to use our product to “get it all cleaned up”, which is great, I mean, ordinarily I’d love to have them work it over so that it’s as intuitive as possible. The only hitch is that we don’t have a product, we weren’t expecting to be asked for it for another week.
How are all of you? I haven’t talked to you in forever, are you good? Getting along well? How’s the dog? What are you up to these days?

I’m good! Getting along well. The dogs are good. I’m doing the same old stuff, sleeping till noon, if I have to work, doing that, if I don’t have to work, screwing around reading blogs or playing Xbox.
You win though.

I’m doing great myself, had a birthday, which nobody cared about, but I got to make everybody do bloody mary oyster shots (Should have seen the look on Matt’s face), the dog’s doing alright – hyper as hell, but not throwing up anymore. Kinda have the opposite thing going on from you – I ‘never’ work. Maybe once a week, depending on the labor budget. Oh well – once I get a haircut, I’ll see about getting a job at Hola!. Anyways – how come there’s no crazy pics accompanying your postnanigans?

I must say that I’m impressed at how fast so many people commented to your post…your site is so popular! You should do the blog thing again, that was cool…or at least, most of the time it was.
And, if you must know, the dog here is too fat to come see anyone, so it lays in a corner most of the day away from people…but there is a cat that decided to take over my room and will randomly step all over me in the middle of the night trying to get me to move out of its spot on the bed =P

Actually, I was rather impressed by the velocity of the comments, as well. Especially since two of them are new posters!
And the reason there are no photos with my postnanigans is because I don’t have a digicam. But I will… on Tuesday. I’ll… uh… take a picture of it.
