Look, I don’t know what I have to do to appease you people. Less than twenty-four hours ago I was berated for not updating more often. Somebody said something about checking every single day and crying/sobbing when nothing new appears. I replied with an ill-considered utterance concerning the location of the kitchen, but quickly rescinded the statement upon threats of extreme violence, threats that, considering the source, can only be taken seriously.
Personally (that is to say, as a person), I am worn out. I am looking forward to coming home and doing something other than being heinously busy. Which is not to imply that the summer hasn’t been amazing (it has) or that I dislike it here (I wish it would never end), but I’m ready for it to be done. This has easily been the best summer of my life; God has really done a lot here through and for us students. I have learned a terrific amount about myself and relating to others, as well as about God and relating to him. I have gained a renewed sense of purpose for life, a better understanding of why I believe what I do, and an impression of the significance of the Good News. Hurrah!
But I’m really looking forward to seeing my family and then my friends again. I’m looking forward to moving back into the dorms and spending some quality hours staying up really late at night (because on project I go to bed at about 11:00). I’m excited to be back in a place that I know well. Again, not that I don’t love it here. Not that it isn’t incredible. Not that I want to leave. But there’s something nice about going home.

Hey, I still resent the kitchen comment (and yes I could kick your ***), but I appriciate the update. You know I never hear any updates through your brother when he talks to you on the phone. I have to find out my info here.
So when are you coming to Colorado? (I won’t call it home, since you don’t claim that anymore.)

I’m excited to hear about your summer! When do you get back in O-town?

I’ll be back in CO on the 12th. I believe move-in day is the 17th, so I’ll probably drive back the 16th and shack up with somebody for the evening. Takers?

Back in the CO, eh? You’ll have to come check out my new pad. Maybe go drink some brew-skis.
Wow, that came from a very redneck place. I’m terribly sorry. What I meant to say is “We should go enjoy some fine cocktails at a local establishment that’s within ten blocks of my current residence.”

You are incorrect, friend. Move in day for you villiage kids is the 13th. Sadly, we SH kids don’t move in until the 19th.

Sthuuuper! Though I know your return to CO will be most likely hectic, perhaps I could take you to lunch . . . or dinner . . . breakfast . . .. or even brunch? I am not aware of you doing second breakfasts or elevensies, but . . . I will surely contact you.

I have a really funny story I think you would appreciate, it involves my apartment building, a human finger in a fridge and the Omaha Homicide department…. (no one dies in this story) but it is definitely one for the history books or at least the paper….it’s what happens when you live near the ghetto I guess…
