Dear diary,
Today I discovered that once-a-week lubrication of my skin is not enough to keep it from drying out whilst here in humidity-free Colorado, especially under the armpits. I’m going to step up the frequency and see if I can’t keep the itching down. Also, the rug burns from my ill-advised army crawl are almost gone. There are still red spots that will probably turn into hideous scars, an indication that I probably should have used some form of antiseptic, but the scabs were already so extensive when I got around to it that it just seemed futile.

mmmm…. Surprises taste good! What a terrible life you must have, really. Sorry I wasn’t able to join, but I figured you would have counseled against it anyway, and it was too late to change my schedule. Hopefully the warm fuzzies will last you about 10 weeks.
