For those of you that don’t know, work bought me a MacBook Pro recently. So now I’m at a coffee shop, doing some development. It is incredibly handy to have everything all on one box and just know that you have access to it anywhere and don’t need to worry about network access. Source code, editors, app server, web server, and database all on one machine. Not that I couldn’t have done this before on my 12″ PowerBook, but I would be lying if I said the dual cores and two gigs of RAM didn’t help while running all this stuff. And the extra screen real estate really helps. Oh, that, and being able to run Windows Internet Explorer right on my laptop is bloody convenient. I don’t know if I’ve ever owned a better machine. Look, I’ll just say it: if you’re thinking about buying a new computer and it’s not a Mac, you’re plainly out of your mind. If you are considering buying a Mac but you’re waiting for some reason, you need to drop whatever it is you’re doing and go purchase a new Mac laptop right now. Right now. Do not delay. I will drive you to the Apple store if you want.

OK! Come pick me up. Which do you prefer? Aspen Grove? Park Meadows? Cherry Creek? 29th Street? Flat Irons?
I don’t get my education discount at Voelker.
