I haven’t made a desktop picture in a long, long time. About a week ago I started using Desklickr, which downloads photos from Flickr and puts them on your desktop. I guess there are similar apps that do this for Windows and Linux, too, so have a google if you want. As my desktops happily rotated, this picture came up, and I realized that it would make an excellent base for a desktop picture that I’ve been wanting to make for a while. The style is based on these desktop pictures, produced by YASLY (check page 20 of the recent works PDF). It is also based on some earlier works of mine (reference Age Seven Spring for the energy dots, these pictures for the explosion). It is called “Transcendence” and is available in both fullscreen and widescreen versions. I’m really pleased with how it turned out:

Transcendence (Wide)

I am waiting for people to get their Acromania submissions in so that I can end the round. Hurry up!

I win by default because Cary forgot an idea for a prize.

Not true sir . . . I recalled my error, sort of. But, I must say, coffee is pretty darn fantastic. I suppose a nice martini would suffice as well.

A month with no posts? Sad day.
