Look, I know it’s been a month. You’re all wondering: am I dead? Short answer: I am not. Nor was I at any time during the past. I fervently deny any rumors, hints, and allegations of my death.
I’ve started work at my new company. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to even say who I’m working for, because I’m worried about the Man coming down on me. Nor am I allowed to say what I am working on, because I am under a NDA. Once all of the contracts are signed with our clients, I am told I will then be able to advertise to the world what I’m doing, since we’ll want all the publicity we can get at that point. Until then… wait and wonder. Or don’t. You’ll probably be disappointed when you find out and I don’t want to over-hype things. A hyphen? Really? That seems like a word which should not be hyphenated.
Another exciting thing has happened to me, but again, I do not feel at liberty to disclose the type of event because the party/parties involved are not the variety to endorse publicity, and certainly not the kind of publicity generated by this oh-so-popular and well-read weblog. And when I say popular, I do mean “popular with the bots”, who love to fill my databases with comment spam.
So! On to things that have held my attention over the past month, at least for a few moments:
- Things “They” Don’t Tell You About Caring For a Newborn
- The Return of Tomorrow (aka “The Schedule”)
- The Importance of Play
- adobe failshop
- Macs really do run Windows better
- css3.info
- 2 Peter 1:1-11
- 1 Corinthians 13:1-3
- James 1:1-11
- Xen
- Ruby on Rails
- The Laptop Herring
- Whoops! I guess I can say where I work: A new endeavor
- Painless Software Schedules
Acromania results are in. Feel free to have a look, it was a good round, and the scoring was complicated. Note that Kathlyn is level 4. This means that if she gains another level, the game will be over! You all gave good ideas for prizes. I will probably select the prize based on who wins.

So, the real question is: when do we get the new acronym? I’ve got a bunch of fancy teacher ones I could do.
