My chief complaint about work so far is my chair. It exerts too much pressure in the forward direction which makes it difficult for me to sit normally. The other complaint I have has to do with the bulkiness of CRTs, the two on my desk are like too-large buddies in the car when you get the middle seat. You know, the ones who maybe aren’t very good at showering and so they smell a little bit, and you don’t feel very comfortable reaching under to get the seat belt so you just do your best to hold on. That’s what my cubicle is like. I want you to know that I am defying the dress code every single day by wearing flip-flops, but I refuse to let the Man beat me down. I enjoy flippety-flopping down the hall as I trek to visit my other co-prisonerslaborers, which is what I do when I need a break.
As for the rest of the “sitchy-a-shun” here, imagine it like The Real World, but with fewer drunks and a lot less sex, plus more Bible studies and praying. One of my goals this summer is to bleach out my arm/leg hair by spending too much time in the pool, a goal which I have made excellent strides toward achieving. At any rate, God has done a good work here: the staff are, without exception, amazing people. The students are also amazing people, particularly some of the guys, who put me to shame and cause me to see gaping deficiencies in my character. Florida is a nifty place, if a little humid (and rainy, yay hurricane season!).
Alright, I should probably get back to work.

I take it you survived that vicious Tropical Storm Alberto then. Congratulations.
Don’t let the man beat you down.

ooooooo! if you spend too much time in the pool, you will proceed past bleaching the hair, and will continue on to removing it completely. yes. have fun!

Way to stick it to the man, flip flops are totally the way to go, and sorry about the CRTs. I have one that is a little past it’s prime and flickers the colors from time to time, a bit disorientating, but I guess it keeps me awake. Also I receive my MacBook Pro tomorrow!!!! That is all.

Hey Eric, found something you’d look fetching in. You’ve probably already seen it, but you know, the next time you’re off at one of your “fancy-gigs” I’m sure you’d love to wing these in.
